Neil writes: A general comment on the plans.
I’ve just watched the BBC Spotlight programme.
I want to say I’ve been involved with quite a few hotel projects - from scratch.
This scheme NOT an Hotel. And never will be. It’s not even close - it’s a million miles away.
It’s 30-48 studios or apartments with ZERO supporting Hotel back of house functions.
If they want to propose a 48 room luxury hotel (somewhere - not here, obvs) then we await the proposals.

Shocking it’s being reported/ quoted as such on the telly-vision.
Don’t even think about the ol’ “ hey here’s an hotel” and then say later on “oh, not economic now we’re making flats!”
This is not an hotel. It bears no resemblance to an hotel. Nothing to do with a professional hotel design.
It shows zero understanding of complex hotel logistics (as you asked, an hotel is exactly like a hospital in terms of functionality …).
THIS. IS. NOT. AN. HOTEL.
